“After having several traditional coach boats we realised that standard Rib designs were not fit for purpose given the rapid growth of 'apparent-wind' sailing and foiling. We were coaching and providing support at many regattas and it wasn't until we got to spend a weekend on the new Salthouse coach boat that it was obvious that this design would solve many of the issues we were experiencing with the traditional ribs. We purchased a Salthouse 6.2m coach boat which we have used now for coaching sailors from the Open Bic Skiff, Starlings, Foiling WASZPs, Wind Foil, Wing Foil, Moths, and even matchracing keelers. The versatility of this boat is like no other be that for batten adjustment between races, on-the-water repairs, chasing foiling craft for line-of-sight tuning or video this has been a coach boat that comfortably and safely delivers it all.
